Algeria; Algerian football federation has reappointed the former Algerian coach Georges Leekens for the second time just before the World Cup qualifier clash against Nigeria next month according to the news.
16 days after Algeria has to take on Nigerian football team in the World Cup 2018 qualifier match. George has been coaching Algerian team in 2003.
He will take place instead of Milovan Rajevac who left the coaching position due to some conflicts with players according to the reports.
“This choice was unanimously approved by members of the federal bureau,” said the Algerian federation in a statement.
“The commission, having consulted several coaches, had decided on a shortlist of five trainers.”
He is third coach taking position during this year as Serbia’s Rajevac replaced Frenchman Christian Gourcuff, who surprisingly stepped down in April with two years left on his agreement.
67 years of age newly appointed coach was sacked from his previous job at Belgian side Lokeren, who have lost eight out of 12 games this season.
