Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari meets with Chikbok girls

Nigeria; About one hundred Chikbok girls do not want to returnto their homes according to a member who is deeply involved in the negotiations with Boko Haram to release about 83 more girls from total of two hundred kidnapped girls.

Remember that Boko haram released about 23 girls last week in the result of talks between the Boko Haram and security forces.

Boko Haram Kidnapped about 200 girls in 2004 and some of the girls got raped by the militants and they have given birth to their children according to the news.

But Pogu Bitrus, chairman of the Chibok Development Association, said more than 100 others appeared unwilling to leave their kidnapers. He said that as they were forced to marry withy the militants and they have babies therefore they do not want to come back as they will become a shame for their parents and families. About twelve girls ran away and 21 girls were released last week released girls told that about six girls have already dead in the custody of Boko haram.

Mr Bitrus: ‘We would prefer that they are taken away from the community and this country because the stigmatisation is going to affect them for the rest of their lives.

‘Even someone believed to have been abused by Boko Haram would be seen in a bad light.’
