Microsoft released the new Xbox One on Tuesday, displaying a device that steps   in the game consoles’ journey to becomes all-purpose entertainment & the communication devices. New game console replaces the Xbox 360, which has been on the market since eight years.

In the new device’s one of the most striking features is the ability to run various apps at once — and to divide a TV screen into different tasks. It means Xbox One holders will be able to connect with Skype video chat while watching live TV, or surfing the web.

 According to rumors, Google is negotiating an acquisition of popular cross platform messaging service WhatsApp.  According to these sources, the WhatsApp team is pushing hard for a price around $1 billion.

The idea is for Google to tie up all of its messaging services in a project called Babel and Mountain View could use the WhatsApp team to help it behind the scenes with the technology. Last summer, Google paid slightly under $25 million to purchase iOS email client Sparrow mostly to pick up some much needed talent on Google’s part.

Mobile phone maker Blackberry says it has sold one million of its new Z10 smartphones.

In better than expected results the company said it made profits of $98m (£65m) in the quarter, after posting a big loss for the same period last year.

The Z10 handset is seen as crucial to the future of Blackberry, which has struggled to keep up with new Apple and Android phones.
