The Presidential competitor of the opposition party New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has called upon all the Ghanaians to vote peacefully, ahead of the general election 2016 which are happening today in Ghana. The flag bearer of the NPP asked all the people who are voting today to be tolerant at the polling stations and guarantee that they vote in an organized and tranquil way.
Nana Akufo-Addo took to his official Twitter handle and gave a lot of powerful statements as the election starts in Ghana. The NPP flag bearer, who is all set to unseat President John Dramani Mahama the flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), scolded voters not to be plagued by long lines or troubles at polling stations.
‘There may be lines, there may be hold-ups and there may be some local challenges, however, I request you to be tolerant and cast your vote.
Moreover, he additionally expressed that ‘the Electoral Commission, security faculty and every one of the authorities to do their work professionally’.
‘Give us a chance to ensure that the procedure is straightforward and sound. Ghana is, then, the champ’, Nana Akufo-Adoo finished.
Meanwhile, Approximately 15 million Ghanaians are voting for the president and parliamentarians.
