Android 7.1: Developer Preview Released

Although several are possibly already cherishing the latest features provided by the new OS from Google, Android 7.0 Nougat, few users have still not even upgraded to the last operating system that is called Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And to make the last type feel even more behind with the whole thing, Google has lately declared an upgrade for the latest OS named Android 7.1 Nougat.

But this is the way everything works in the mobile-phone OS world. The latest creation of devices will always get the latest operating systems because they generally also have the newest specs that are capable of supporting upgrades. Then there are the carriers and developers who also have to change the latest mobile operating systems to befit in their customer plan and devices, correspondingly and that always need some time.

Now, if you are among those fortunate people that have got one of the newest Nexus devices then you will most likely receive the upgrade in December. It is likely that the 6P, Player, Nexus 5Xand the Pixel C will receive the Android 7.1 Nougat then, whereas few other Nexus (now called Pixel) devices will receive them soon afterwards.

Meanwhile, the Android 7.1 Nougat upgrade will be available as a beta preview for manufacturers beginning this month and it will release to the aforesaid devices. Obviously, manufacturers who are enrolled and the Android Beta program are advised to install it and change or tune their applications for the future upgrade.

Google has already declared that the upgrade will improve Android Nougat and develop several of its functionalities. More significantly, it will also have the Daydream platform which is the original Android native VR platform.
