DR Congo; Defender Cedric Mongongu has been moved to Montpellier

DR Congo; Congolese defender Cedric Mongongu has signed a contract deal with the French side Montpellier till the end of this season according to the news.

Congo international has been playing in French clubs, Monaco and Evian TG, and he was on trial at Montpellier. He was given the deal with a successful trial period at the French club.

27 years old defender was free after leaving Turkish league and he will be given a regular s[pace in the defense as the club is facing many problems in the defensive side.

Having a huge stress from defensive side the French side have conceived 15 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season and are 17th in the table after one win in eight games. The club officials have also signed another African based midfielder from Benin name Stephane Sessegnon. Mongongu, who has 38 matches in his record and two international goals, featured prominently when DR Congo finished third at the 2015 Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

His last arrival for The Leopards came in November 2015 against Burundi as a lack of club football cast him into the international football.
