AFCON qualifiers; Seirra Leones striker Kei Kamara who has been playing for English side middlebrough has made a comeback to the national side before the important qualifier match of African Cup of nations against Ivory Coast. He was on the international break since 2015 but now he has showed his availability for the fixture against Ivory Coast in the final qualifier match of African Cup of nations.
Kamara who is currentgly playing for USA side New England Revolution stopped playing for national team of Seirra Leone because of some conflicts with the federations saying that there is no respect for the players however the officials denied his charges.
After making a comeback he said that there are many factors of his return and the love and passion to play for his country is one of them.
“There is no time to fix everything that made me to walk away from Leone Stars,” Kamara said in an interview.
.”But I have decided to come back to the national team because firstly I love my country.”
“Also I have been persuaded by my family, my big brother and Sierra Leone legend Mohamed Kallon and sports minister Ahmed Khanou” Kamara said.
Remember that Kamara announced a break from his international career ten months ago and he has not played for his national side since then but now he has taken the decision for the sake and love of his country.
